anti-social media on X
I've been anti-social media for a long time.
I think social media has destroyed a lot of people's lives at the cost of creating a few new billionaires. I don't say that as a performance of moral superiority. It is more like a bitter observation: the internet promised connection, and a large part of it became a machine for addiction, vanity, noise, and anxiety.
Still, to give this blog more visibility, today I created an account on X.
There is an obvious irony here. I do not like the environment, I do not trust the logic of these platforms very much, and I do not want to turn the blog into a hostage of metrics. But I also do not want to write into the void out of pure pride. If there is still a public square where people discover links, texts, and ideas, maybe it makes sense to appear there.
The plan is simple: use the account as an entrance to the blog, not as a second home. Post links, maybe a short comment sometimes, and leave before the feed starts consuming me.
I still have no followers. If you want, follow me there and I will follow you back (think carefully).
